Ms. Tonia Rayford

Ms. Tonia Rayford is a former Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. During her 29-year military career, she served as an Air Traffic Controller, Education and Training Manager, First Sergeant and Group Superintendent. Assigned to multiple stateside and overseas bases throughout her career, she also completed combat tours in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan. After retiring from the Air Force, Ms. Rayford attended the University of South Carolina where she received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work with a concentration in Military Members, Veterans and their Families. Today Ms. Rayford continues her service to veterans at the Ralph H. Johnson Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. As a Research Coordinator on a multi-site research project, she provides clinical support and employment coaching to veterans diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
